They're rooms that make sense in Lombok — open to the garden, cooled by natural airflow, designed around what the island actually offers rather than against it.
The Garden
The Spot's garden is one of the things guests comment on most. Over 700 plants and flowers, trees left in place, some fruit and vegetables grown on-site. When you order a fresh coconut or juice, the staff sometimes picks the fruit from the garden directly.
The bungalows are set within this garden rather than next to it — which means waking up with the doors open to birdsong and the smell of morning air, not the sound of Kuta's main road.
What to Expect
Basic and comfortable. Bamboo construction, natural materials, a private terrace. The rooms are not air-conditioned — the design and the garden shade keep them cool enough in Lombok's climate, but this is worth knowing if you expect AC everywhere.
The shared bathroom facilities are well-maintained and close to the bungalows.
Location
The Spot is in central Kuta Lombok, walkable from most of the town's restaurants, surf shops, and scooter rental places. The beach is a 10-minute walk or 5-minute scooter ride.
The garden setting also means you're a short walk from The Spot's café and coworking space — useful if you're working remotely and want a productive morning before heading to the beach.
