Accommodation in Kuta Lombok: Where to Stay at The Spot
Looking for accommodation in Kuta Lombok? The Spot offers private A-Frame bungalows, bamboo bungalows, and a garden setting in the heart of town — built for travelers, surfers, and remote workers.
Kuta Lombok has more accommodation options than it did five years ago, and choosing where to stay isn't always obvious. The Spot is one option — a small property in the centre of town with private bungalows set in a working garden, alongside a café and coworking space. This post is a straight overview of what we offer so you can decide if it fits what you're looking for.
What We Offer
Two types of private accommodation, both built around the garden rather than around a hotel corridor.
A-Frame Bungalows
A-Frames are 12m² private rooms with their own terrace, single bed, fan, and basic ensuite. They're designed for solo travelers and digital nomads who want their own space without paying for a luxury villa they won't use. Price sits at the lower end of private accommodation in Kuta — practical for stays of a week or longer.
More on the A-Frames in our post about solo travel and the A-Frame bungalow.
Bamboo Bungalows
The bamboo bungalows are built from bamboo and natural materials, set deeper in the garden. Open design, natural airflow, no AC — Lombok's climate and the garden shade keep them comfortable, but it's worth knowing if you expect AC everywhere. The shared bathroom facilities are well maintained and close to the bungalows.
Full background on the bamboo bungalows is in Bamboo Bungalows in Kuta Lombok: Staying in The Spot's Garden.
The Garden
The garden is what most guests notice first. Over 700 plants and flowers, mature trees that were here before the property, fruit and vegetables grown on-site. When you order a fresh coconut, the staff sometimes picks it from the garden directly. Both bungalow types are set inside this garden rather than next to it — you wake up to birdsong and morning air, not the sound of Kuta's main road.
Location
The Spot is in central Kuta Lombok. Walkable to the town's restaurants, surf shops, scooter rental places, and warungs. The beach is 10 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by scooter. We're a short walk from several beaches you can rotate through depending on swell and crowd.

What You Get on the Property
Beyond the room itself, staying at The Spot gives you access to:
- The café — full breakfast, lunch, coffee, fresh juices. Most guests start their day there before heading to the beach or the desk.
- **The coworking space** — fast WiFi, daypasses included for guests on longer stays. Useful for digital nomads.
- The garden as a hangout — plenty of shaded seating, a natural place to meet other travelers and remote workers.
It's the same property and the same staff across all of these — there's no separation between "the hotel" and "the café". The accommodation is one part of a small ecosystem.
Who It's For
The Spot suits travelers who: - Want a private room without a luxury price tag - Are staying longer than a few nights (a week or more is typical) - Like the idea of a garden setting over a swimming pool - Are comfortable with fan-cooled rooms in Lombok's climate - Want to combine surf, work, and downtime in one place
It's not the right fit if you need full hotel services (room service, daily housekeeping, AC throughout). For that, Kuta has other options.
Booking
Check rates and availability on our direct booking page, or message us on Instagram at @thespotlombok. For longer stays, direct booking is usually the easiest path and avoids OTA commissions on both sides — you can also email [email protected].
